"That's so last decade!"

2020 is here, folks! It's time to be out with the old with interior designs and home trends. I have one word for you to remember while you move into this decade... "BOLD!" The days of neutral walls and keeping it safe are over. Time to be fearless and express yourself. Are you ready to go BOLD & travel BEYOND your comfort zone? Let's go!

1. Bye-Bye ACCENT WALLS!

If you love color, take the risk! Paint ALL your walls- BOLDLY GO!

Not quite ready? Try textured or wallpapered walls instead.

2. No more FAUX!

Keep it real when choosing finishes for your home. There are so many real products out there that have been reclaimed. Vinyl Planking, Fake Stones... BE GONE!

When you use reclaimed lumber, you decrease the demand for newly sourced lumber, which helps curb deforestation. If harvested responsibly, reclaimed wood is a renewable resource that reduces landfill waste & environmental hazards.

3. Sorry FARMHOUSE STYLE, we bid farewell.

I can hear the screams now... WAIT! If that's your style, just mix it up a bit.

Introduce Unique, eclectic & heirloom pieces for an easy transition.

4. Heat up those icey NEUTRAL walls...

Beige & Grey are out.... GO BOLD with NAVY, GREEN, or AMBER.

Colors will become the new neutrals, and I couldn't be more excited!

5. KIT FURNITURE. Sorry IKEA.

We are entering an age of authenticity and personal expression. Cube shelves and basket drawers are so last decade. Shop local thrift stores, online marketplaces, or use heirloom pieces in your home.

6. OPEN FLOOPLANS!!!??? Say it ain't so!

Millennials will be the largest demographic of home buyers in 2020 and they are craving more privacy and well defined spaces. Let the REVOLUTION begin!

As we honor Earth’s revolution around the sun, we create new resolutions, set new goals, and of course, seek out new trends. Our homes deserve the same kind of attention too.

WELCOME to 2020!
